Women at the South Jersey School of Korean Karate are trained with the same spirit as any other student. However, we understand that women face special circumstances when it comes to physical violence. Often, there is a significant size and/or strength difference when a woman is attacked by a man. This fact often intimidates women into feeling they have no options or cannot protect themselves. Master Amanda has been exploring that very issue in her training for over 20 years. During her long training she has discovered that women have been defending themselves effectively for thousands of years. Some of the best martial artists in history were women. In fact, early in her training she was taught by an experienced female black belt and was inspired. Her sincerest desire is to share her knowledge and experience to influence female students the way she was. To strengthen their confidence through powerful self defense abilities.
